Fusion selection tools etc freezing if left idle for a while

I have an issue with selecting, sketching and general commands in Fusion if I leave a file open and the software is inactive. It occurs quite a few times and so far my only solution is to start a new design which somehow resets everything and we're all good again! For example I choose to sketch on a plane it the mouse doesn't follow my lead and it snaps arbitrarily somewhere on the plane...as I said this goes away after I start a new design...thanks

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community!

Thanks for posting. Can you tell me if you happen to have Chrome running, with Fusion on top of it, such that both applications are "up" and you switch between them using the icons below?

Thanks,

Can you try minimizing Chrome so it does not sit behind Fusion 360? Please let me know if the problem stops. It would be nice to confirm if it's a problem we are chasing that is caused by Chrome sitting behind Fusion.

Thanks,

...well not sure if Chrome minimised (if that's what you were suggesting)
helps really...basically after a while outside Fusion the software looses
focus on return so for example my original planes don't become selectable
and when they do and I go into selecting a circle (or line or rect etc) say
it doesn't snap anywhere on the grid and there s no blue box and when I
click it picks an arbitrary centre point do start drawing from...

To be clear, did you try to replicate the problem but with Fusion 360 "up" and Chrome "minimized" on the dock? It sounds like you did, and can still experience the problem. Please confirm.

Yes that is correct...in both cases Chrome up or down my mouse looses focus
when coming back to Fusion.

The problem is still there but there is a work around - it happens happens when one leaves fusion and goes in Chrome (minimised or not) and comes back (don't know if this happens in other browsers). The solution is either create a new "empty" design from the top tabs and then go into your browser and when you come back simply delete it from the top or if you forget to do this and you are back in Fusion create a new design (as before) and again delete it and your working file should be fine and focused. Basically once a new design file is created and deleted then all is back to normal!

Same issue...I've found it quicker to close and restart Fusion
