Fusion screenshot of crash after updating to latest (free) version.

This is what the screen looks like on every crash that usually happens after 2-3 minutes after opening the program. The background of the browser goes black and everything stops working. There is no common operation that sets off the crashes, it seems completely random. My question is: Is the black background hinting on what can be wrong and what makes the program crash?

Any help will be HUGELY appreciated.

Note: No changes were made on my machine before the version update. The program have worked perfectly for months.

Normally when the screen goes black, as you show, the application is just deep in a process.  Try to open or model something very simple, like a single box and see if it happens as you say.

Edit: If it does then I would try and use the Repair option in the Fusion 360 Service Utility.

Thanks for your reply. My work is very simple. I make models for woodworking based on simple drawings. So I don't think the problem is caused by heavy work. And it seem anything can set of a crash. Also, no crash ever happened before the version update.

The best thing to try is to follow the link I gave you and run the Repair function in the Fusion 360 Service Utility.

@oeyvtoft When you crash do you get an error report to send to Autodesk? If you do the next time can you note the report ID and send it in?

Generally these kind of random crashes could be older OS and graphics drivers. Can you please confirm that your OS update and graphics are up-to0date?

If you go into Help-support and diagnostic - graphics diagnostics- copy to clip board and paste here please? Also, if you go into device manager, do you have one or two graphics card on your machine?

As far as I know no. Just NVIDEA GeForce GTX 980M is listed in the device manager.
