Fusion Legacy Price Increase Help

My Fusion 360 Legacy (3 year term) is coming up for renewal and it's my understanding that I had a price lock for being a legacy subscriber.  I originally paid $934.50 and the renewal is $1,836.00.  I reached out to customer service but have been getting the run around for a few days.  Does anyone have an Autodesk contact that could help me out?  Thanks

There are other users who have reported the same.

I've added your post to a thread another Expert Elite started on the Fusion Slack channel.
It will likely be a few days before someone reaches out.

We've been chasing this down internally. From the looks of things, it appears that if you had a Legacy subscription for a 3 year term, at the expiry of that term, your option is now to go annual at the "locked in" price, or current full price for another 3 year term. To be honest, I don't understand the rationale behind this, but I don't make the decisions in this area.

Thanks Seth for looking into this, but the Autodesk Customer Service has also given me the run around about renewing at the annual price lock.  I did receive an email from Autodesk at the end of last year that said the upcoming renewal price lock was $490.  I tried to renew my subscription then before the changes but it wouldn't let me renew until my current license expired.  I assumed that $490 would be the most I would pay per year since I originally had a 3 year commitment.  I didn't imagine being penalized for having the longer term...the whole point of buying the longer term was to have cost savings.

Here's a screenshot from the email last year talking about upcoming price changes.  The tone of the email was to get monthly subscribers to move to annual.

Here's the response I received from Autodesk Customer Service about switching to the annual.

Am I missing something?  Does my Legacy license have extra features or access that is not included in newer subscriptions?

I am experiencing the same issue as others.

In 2021-october my 3 year license was $1068

in 2024-october renewal my license quote is $1836

I have tried customer support with no solution.  Every answer is different and now they want me to provide the legacy pricing guarantee.  I'm posting here and have emailed Seth Madore asking for help or clarification.

Additionally, the option to change from 3 year to 1 year on my account is not available.

Any help is appreciated.

James and I have been chatting about this most recent issue as well as the ones that occurred earlier on in the thread. We certainly have some work to do in regards to customer clarity and support 😞

Hey Kevin,

I have to say that Seth was very kind and tried to get the Sales / Client Service Team to reach out to me but they never would.  Ultimately, I ended up wasting a lot of time and mental energy trying to get Autodesk to honor their word, but to no avail.

Also noticed a price increase that differed from the promised discount after the first 3yr subscription
Tried to reach out to Fusion support about this 2 times, but no response. They simle don't reply.

Sidenote; Renewal price is increasing too, i have screenshots of a promised renewal price in 2026 for 1290 euro, 1695 and the latest shows 1687,50.

I'm having a similar issue, but now it's way out of hand.

I purchased a year ago for 3yrs at AUD$5**.  My renewal this year was billed at $7**.

To make matters worse, the automated payment failed because of insufficient funds, and I then couldn't either manually renew or get an answer out of customer service as to WHEN the system would try again (turned out to be 6 days, not even an even week...) so now my subscription is expired, customer service are refusing to let me renew, and a new subscription is going to cost me AUD$9**.

So it's now nearly twice the price.  Starting to feel like I'm being deliberately screwed.

Curious if there are any updates to this?

I just noticed I am on a Legacy subscription too and would like to stay informed. I followed a link to the retired products page:
https://www.autodesk.com/ch-de/support/account/manage/billing/retired-products

But can't find any reference to Fusion 360.

I wasted a lot of time and energy trying to get Autodesk to honor their original promises but to no avail.  Seth was kind and tried to get me help but simply put, the company as a whole just doesn't care.
