Fusion gives a preview of an extrude cut but cannot perform it

Hi,

I'm trying to make a tapered cut into a solid and Fusion 360 shows a preview, but can't actually complete the cut.  The software is showing a preview, so obviously it CAN do the cut, but it doesn't.  Here are screenshots of the part + error message.  If I can, I will attach the part in a follow up since the website is telling me I've already hit 3 uploads which I haven't.

Do not specify a depth of cut, simply drag it to the point the cut is completed and then accept.  Model attached.
