Fusion Drawing mode keeps crashing

I am able to model without issue. But when I switch to Drawing mode I get an unexpected close window. Fusion stays open but closes the Drawing mode. If i open an existing drawing I get the same window. MACOS Tahoe M5PRO 64gb

I am experiencing the same issue. I receive a pop-up window that says "Fusion Drawings cannot launch" and then the program freezes, requiring me to restart my computer.

I have already tried using the fix function as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the program, but the error persists. I noticed this behavior immediately after Fusion updated on 7/10/26.

I have opened a case with Autodesk and hope to find a resolution soon, or maybe someone in the forum can help.

I have tried the Fusion Service Utility to do a Repair and Reset so far. I haven't done an Uninstall yet.

Hi MoldSonic

I was able to get my Fusion working again by forcing a render mode via the "Text Command". My Drawing mode stopped crashing and my mouse over issue it gone. Hopes this helps you. I set my MAC M5Pro to Metal. Cheers

  1. Open the Text Commands panel in Fusion (open it via File > View > Show Text Commands).
  2. Ensure the radio button at the bottom is set to Txt (not Py).
  3. Type one of the following commands based on your operating system and press Enter: [1]
  • For Windows (Default DirectX 11):
    FusionDoc.SetRenderMode /DX11
  • For Windows (Alternative DirectX 12):
    FusionDoc.SetRenderMode /DX12
  • For Mac (Default Metal):
    FusionDoc.SetRenderMode /METAL
  • To let Fusion choose automatically:
    FusionDoc.SetRenderMode /AUTO

Hello,

  When I tried that on my Windows DirectX 12, I got the following message;

"/DX12

There is no command FusionDoc.SetRenderMode. Use ? to get help on available commands"

I also tried the auto with no success. I must be doing something wrong.

Thank you for trying to help.

I'm running a MAC. So I'm unable to test if the windows commands work. Sorry to hear it did'nt solve your problem.
