fusion crashes constantly after last update

Is anyone else experiencing crashing after this weeks' update?. Fusion is crashing at seemingly every task, including but not limited to opening a new drawing, editing an existing 2d cutting profile and switching between files to name a few.

Thanks

@galeac.ac I took a look to see if there are any crash reports from you in our backend and nothing over the last month. Are these generating crash reports? If so can you send them in please? Would to good to check to see if there are any graphics drivers that needs updating. Are these random crashes or crashes in certain workflows?

It is not generating crash reports unfortunately. It is crashing randomly
or else takes a lot of yime to process. Even in sketches. Its happening
mostly in sketches and manufacturing

Using an iMac with OS X 12.4, Fusion became unusable for me after a system update a few days ago.  When one starts F360, a series of error reporting windows pop up.   (While I'm typing a response in the first window, another appears...probably about 7 windows by the time I manage to click Send.).   Even after sending the report, they kept on appearing (despite Fusion not running at that point).   There was no way of stopping them and eventually I had to restart the system.

Yesterday I tried again and F360 managed to update itself.  It seemed as though the update had fixed the problem but then after about half an hour it crashed.

This morning I'm back to the endless stream of Error Reporting windows as soon as I start F360.

So.it does seem as a problem from fusions side. I have clients coming
tomorrow and I cannot work with them as my fusion is basically down.

@r.moss The problem you highlighted seems to be due to the single sign on. What other Autodesk products do you have on the Mac? (Likely AutoCAD?). There is a multi product solution that is needed for this and while we are working on it, here is a workaround that will get you around this.

Careful thing to note about the workaround is that it is the "System - Library" and not users - Library. Also please remove it from the dash can once it is deleted. Please let us know if this worked.

@galeac.ac This workaround is not for you. I am aware that you are on windows and will post what to try here very shortly.

From the sound of what you are experiencing, it usually is related to graphics. The suggestions below might help either with the problem or narrow us closer to the issue.

  • 1. before we do anything, in the product go to Help -> Support and Diagnostics -> Diagnostic log files - This will generate a zip file that if you can attach here that would help

    2. Go to add/remove programs - Select Autodesk Fusion 360 - You should see a Modify/uninstall - Select Modify -> This will launch the Fusion service utility.

    3. In the service utility, First do a "Reset of Fusion 360". Once this is complete, please also run the "Repair Fusion 360". This one is a long shot but this one helps to solve any number of issues like this we have seen in the past.

    4. If the service utility does not work, there are a couple of other things that we have found could help. Update/reinstall your graphics driver. Older graphics drivers with newer versions of Fusion could have some problems.

    5. Another solution which we have sen work in the past is a repair of Windows OS. This has eliminated a lot of issues where either graphics or the OS and Fusion 360 has not played well together.

I know this is a lot of suggestions from above but this help help narrow down (if none of this works) where to go next. Please let me know if there are any clarifications for the above suggested things to try.

Had a couple of crashed since last update. Fusion just randomly pulls up the loading bar bottom right of the screen and sits there. Have to ctrl-alt-del kill it. In assembly.

And again. Think it happens when when components are updating in an assembly, possibly caused by trying to move camera at the same time. Maybe a different bug to OP though!

@rob.blanch This sounds definitely different. When you crash do you get to send in the crash? If so can you post a report ID?

No i cannot report. I performed a clean uninstall again today and so far it
seems to have solved the problem. I still have problems with large sketches
though.

No way to post in any report! Just have to kill fusion and restart.

(checking in here after Fusion did it again..)

Both my coworker and I are experiencing constant crashes after the last update as well. We are both getting crashes every half hour.

@wallis.bryce Any chance you are using volumetric modeling in your workflow?

Just standard sketch and extrude. It crashed at many different steps, not always during the same operation.
