Fusion Actions Get Very Slow With Lots of Parts - Less than 70% RAM Used.

I've been using Fusion for cadding VEX robotics competition robots for my team, and these have lots and lots of parts. I've avoided putting in things like spacers, bolts, nuts, shaft collars, etc. to keep the number of parts in the CAD down, but as I add parts Fusion gets very, very, slow. I mean that when I try to orbit and look around theres no lag, but then I click the extrude button and it freezes for about 30 seconds, then another 30 after dragging the arrow to extrude, then another 30 to make the extrusion. It makes work very slow, and I don't think the issue is my RAM, I have 16gb and its less than 70% used right now. Any fixes?

At this time, F360 has some limitations when it comes to large assemblies. There are some ways to reduce the lag (such as avoiding unnecessary parts as you mentioned). This article might be helpful:
