Fusion 360 unable to save

I've been working with an assembly for a few days with no issue.

Recently, after making a minor change to an extrude feature, and then attempting to save, I received the following error:

Hi @scott.nortman,

Thanks for sharing this. I'd be curious what went wrong here. Just to check, do you have T-Spline entities in this model? Can you share a download link to the model with me so I can test around? Also, can you go to the Help menu in Fusion 360, collect your diagnostic log files, and post them here.

Thanks,

Hi James

Thanks for your response.

Due to IP reasons, I can not share the files.

The top level assy with this issue does reference an external sub assy which has T splines.

However, I have not had any trouble saving the sub assy.

I have found that, as my model gets more complex, and I have various errors that arise due to changes with deleted components and therefore missing references, this has prevented me from saving.  For example, this morning I deleted some parts that were inserted early on in my assy design, and there were numerous reference, and I needed to delete some of these parts due to modifications in the design, causing numerous errors in the timeline.  When attempting to save with these errors present, I received the 'unable to save' message.  I then spent time deleting these errors from the timeline, and I was able to then save.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions.

BTW, this is a great product!

Best regards,

Scott

Hi James,

One more issue I am seeing:

After I delete a component, broken references still remain in the timeline, and I get a warning.  When I mouse over the feature in the timeline with the warning, and I right-click to try and get the fly-out window, this does not work.  I can not get the fly-out window to delete these broken features.

Also, for the deleted parts, there are numerous features in the timeline that should have been deleted, but are not.  And for all of these features, I can not right click to get the fly-out window to delete manually.

Best regards,

Scott

Hi @scott.nortman,

Hmm thanks for sharing. Unfortunately it's really hard to debug this without seeing what is going on first hand. Off of the top of my head, I would try experimenting with this knowledge article here and see what you can find regarding the T-Spline blobs. In the meantime, can you at least post your diagnostic log files from the help menu so I can get a more specific error message.

Thanks,
