Hi @Anonymous,

Do you have a company IT person who might be able to help troubleshoot this? If so, feel free to have him reach out to me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com. Otherwise, lets try to connect offline so I can take a deeper peek at this.

Thanks,

Dear Jamez!

I have a disappointing situation.
After installing the system on my MacBook Pro 15 OS 10.9.2 there is the message on my desktop:

Unable to connect to Internet

Please check your network connection and sign into your Autodesk Account to start Fusion 360 and try again later.

There is the internet connection through WI FI (i have tried two opened networks).

Concerning the logging in Autodesk Account Fusion 360:
I have already had the Autodesk account, since i am a student i want to create a student account to use the software for free.

Looking forward to receive your strong support.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Hmm, are you operating under a proxy server or restricted internet by any chance? If you are on a school network - this is probably the case and you may need to chat with your IT department to get it set up around the proxy. If this is the case - show them this article here

Can I also have your log files for further diagnostic? This will point us to what is actually happening on launch. If you could attach your Application log files (not the installation log file) to a post that would be great! The steps on how to find the app log files is in this guide here.

Thanks,

Dear James!

Please find enclosed my .log files, that were extracted by provided manual.

Concerning the network, i was trying to launch from home and from university as well.

So there shouldn't be any troubles with net.

Looking forward to hear from you:)

Hi @Anonymous,

Hmm, according to your log files it looks like it is related to certificate issues.

GET https://ui-dls360.autodesk.com/fusion/version.txt 60 SSL certificate problem: Invalid certificate chain

Can you try the following - can you copy/paste https://ui-dls360.autodesk.com/fusion/version.txt into a safari URL and see if you can open the web page? My guess is Safari will come up asking about the certificate at which point if you can accept that certificate from Safari it may be able to work. I will also check more into this on my end.

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

Do you have any options to view the certificate in safari and add it to the trusted list? Let me check in and find out a little bit more about that error message.

Hi James,

I am having a problem with my Fusion 360 as well. Kindly help me as I need the software for my project. I haven't used fusion for quite some time now. I have changed my network/wifi since i am now staying at another place.

Now, i am receiving this message:

Unable to connect to Internet Please check your network connection and sign into your Autodesk Account to start Fusion 360 and try again later.

Kindly reply asap.

Thanks, TJ

I don't know if it will help but with the August updates I found an issue with the proxy server settings. Even if you set the "No proxy" the proxy host field is still consulted. Likewise even if you clear the host field you must change it to "No proxy"

Just wanted to say that I ran into this issue as well.

WHY, tell me, don't you have proper certificates on your stuff, dear Autodesk?

Can you please escalate this to someone who has some sense to avoid having customers fix your crappy problems!!!

Dear colleagues!

The reason why F360 did not work on my Mac was software update.

You may try App Store ->Updates->Then update the critical OS updates (print screen is enclosed).

Thanks to Kevin Baribault from Autodesk for assistance!

Hope it will help to many of you!

"It looks as if your network is not allowing the communication between those sites and your machine. I'd like to connect offline to troubleshoot this a little further. I sent you a private message so we can set something up.

Once we find out the solution, I will post back here with my findings!"

I have the same error for many time. Do you have a permanent fix? Thanks,

Hi,

From the log file it appears you are working on a network that uses a proxy server.

Have you tried any of these:
