Fusion 360 training - Dubai?

what is the best way to get training in Dubai if you are a hobbyist? I've always wanted to get into auto design for fun - I've downloaded fusion 360 and have been playing around with it for a week. I am definitely moving forward but trial and error can be frustrating and you tube tutorials can appear to skip steps for the uninitiated as i am not always able to produce the right results, especially when extruding sketches and free form modeling - I also don't get the right results when converting a file to SVG or DXF and attempting to extrude. I work in Finance and don't have a design background.

Any thoughts? Training in Dubai?

Thanks

Jad

PS - is an Intel HD Graphics 4400 card adequate -  I seem to crash my little Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro all the time although it survives longer when i connect to the TV via HDMI

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for your Post in the Forum.

We do have an Autodesk office in Dubai but we do not offer direct training at this location but It might be great idea.

Let´s check with @mickey.wakefield if we have something coming up 😉

To answer your questions:

1. Converting a file to SVG or DXF and attempting to extrude.

I do assume that you would like to import a *.svg or *.dxf file. Please, see the youtube video with tips and tricks how to modify your *.svg with the link here

If you do import *.dxf into Fusion 360, you may want to clean it up in AutoCAD LT before importing.

2. Intel HD Graphics 4400 card adequate

Your Graphics Card should be fine. You may want to limit effects for optimum performance described in the link here

Please, feel free to share a screenshot of your Graphics Diagnostics. You could check parallel if Lenovo released the newest graphics driver for your hardware.

I hope this helps. Please, keep us updated.

Thanks,
