Fusion 360 operating very slow

Fusions 360 was working fine on my computer for about 2 weeks. In the middle of a project, it crashed. I’ve contacted support agents and none of them can really solve the issue. Fusion will now open, but essentially doesn’t work. I don’t have a ton of knowledge about computer systems and operating systems but I need help getting fusion to run well again. It confuses me that this happened after 2 ish weeks of running flawlessly.

There’s not really a screenshot to show anything. I started having issues in the morning yesterday. I’ve uninstalled, re-installed, had a tech specialist do the same procedure, updated graphics cards, updated system, hardwired my computer, I’ve done just about everything possible and fusion still takes its time to function. For example, I am trying to post process a part right now for my CNC plasma table. Last week (when fusion was working fine) it took maybe 2-3 seconds at most to post process and load to my thumb drive. As of right now, I’m going on my 33rd minute of waiting for fusion to post process. I’ve been reading an infinite amount of other threads to try and find a solution. Is this a fusion problem, windows problem, or operator error? I don’t believe it is me, as I’ve done everything possible to get this thing running. Let me know what I can do to help you, help me. Thanks.

Did you try using the clean uninstall tool when you uninstalled?

Yes I did, and the tech specialist from auto desk also used it.

Did you share your diagnostic files with support? Can you upload them here? Is Fusion slow everywhere or just CAM?

Yes, they checked all of my diagnostics and my graphics cards. I noticed in other threads, people were having the same issue as me in terms of links “failing”? I’ve used fusion for 2 weeks and never had to add exceptions to my proxy. I’m not the most computer-savvy person so thank you for your patience. I clicked on diagnostic files and a bunch of folders come up. How do I get to the file you’re looking for?

Hi,

try this:

1. create a new user (WIN/MAC)  and avoid special characters in the name

2. install Fusion

3. Start Fusion with your "old" AD Account

Günther, this seems to work. I will spend more time on fusion today and see how it does. Now I know for a fact that my computer, graphics cards, all of that stuff is capable of running fusion (I was confident of this in the first place). There are a couple issues I am facing with this method. All of my programs I work with besides fusion are on the other profile. All of my software licenses and things like that are on the other account.

So, now that we know that the other account is corrupted for some reason, is there a way to revert this so I can use fusion again on my main account? What I’m seeing from other threads is that there was a fusion update that may have caused this issue. I’m just trying to get fusion to work on my main account again.

Mark, I just ran the cleaner tool again and it said “cleaning process finished with some errors!” What happened here?

I figured it out. After dealing with this for 6 hours yesterday and uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, hardwiring my computer, updating graphics cards, I found out none of that was the problem. It was simply a bug in the fusion update. Had to run the clean uninstaller from the auto desk website, and reinstall fusion. It worked. I hope it stays working. Thanks to all who helped.
