Fusion 360 Lofting Trouble.

Hello! I am designing an RC plane. I need to loft 2 sections to each other along rails, The sections are fit point splines, i need to make my rail from the furthest point on one to the furthest point on the other, they are not on the same level. How do I do this? Thanks

A plane fuselage is not an easy design.  Search this forum for the topic, and you'll find lots of questions and helpful advice.  Overall, though, my approach would be:

  1. take advantage of symmetry.  Assuming your plane is symmetric along its axis, just model half, and mirror it.  This will require using Surface modeling, not Solid, but that is not a huge step
  2. because of the nose of the plane, Loft to Point is probably going to be required
  3. use one vertical sketch that slices the length of the plane for holding rail curves
  4. use a series (not too many) of slices going the other way along the length (like the two you have already) for describing the profiles of the plane.

just as I said "don't use too many sections", I would also recommend not to use too many fit points in your profiles and rails.  The fewer the better.

The aircraft is structured using balsawood. the sections are balsa formers, I need to loft to make the shelling.  This seems like the correct solution to this problem, thanks!
