Fusion 360 Licensing for a school - Free or not?

Hi,

I am trying to get this installed on a high school network, but the IT guys keep telling me it costs $25 per user because they need to install it on a server and push it out to the workstations.

I've pointed them to the page that says its free for students, faculty, qualified institutions... but they still say its not free.

Can someone provide clarification on this please?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Hi @PaulBraun,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Fusion 360 is free for students and educators and we actually have a separate installation process for education users. I am not too sure where that figure came for $25/user - perhaps it is for a separate software they are using for server work? As far as Fusion goes however in your case, it is free!

The attached document should have all the instructions you need to get started! Please let me know if you have any questions at all and I'm sure we can help you get set up!

Thanks,

Does the same apply to Autodesk Inventor?

Is there a free educational license for Universities?
