Fusion 360 is unable to open (insert file name). It may not have synced correctly.

I opened the file in question earlier in the day at work. Took my laptop home and tried to reopen the same file and I received the "Fusion 360 is unable to open (insert file name). It may not have synced correctly." error. I tried opening several older versions with no success. I am now locked out of a critical design. I'm not sure what to do from here.

Strange. Try as I might I was not able to open the file on my Windows Laptop, so just for a lark I installed Fusion 360 on my 2020 M1 Macbook Air and it opened without issue.

This issue has now been resolved for me, but I am still curious as to why this might happen.
