Fusion 360 increases model dimensions 10-fold on open.

I am trying out Fusion360 and when I open an STL file the dimensions have increased 10fold. For example a model that is 215mm long is now 2150mm long.  The model was saved in mm, the document settings are in mm. Why is it doing this, and what is the fix (not runaround) so that I don't have to rescale it every time I open a file?  For the most part Fusion360 does what I need and I'm willing to pay the subscription rate but not before I know it works properly.

You did not say if your were creating the mesh bodies that are giving your issues but I guess you are.  If you are using the Export command to create your meshes, and the model units are in millimeters, this is your issue.  The Export command uses a cloud base routine that works in centimeters.  Instead, use the Save as Mesh command.  This will give you a 1:1 creation.

Thank you for the reply. To be more clear, I am generating the STL files from Rhino3d - I only have an export to STL option. When I open the STL files in Fusion 360 is when they are blowup x10. Rhino is set up in mm as is Fusion 360 (mm was the default on opening the app.) I'm using Fusion for mesh repair before slicing.

Use Insert Mesh:

Then, on the Insert dialog, you can specify the units.  Choose Millimeter.  Assuming Rhino writes out the STL correctly, it will come in the correct size:
