Fusion 360 hangs on startup

I've recently installed fusion 360 after I reset my mac. When I try to launch it just gets stuck on the splash screen, the cursor becomes a rainbow spinning wheel and fusion doesn't actually startup. I've tried waiting on this screen for half an hour without anything happening. I've also tried using Autodesk Fusion Service Utility to both reset and repair the installation individually and combined. I've tried doing a clean uninstall and installation of fusion multiple times but to no avail. I've found some guides that seemingly have the same problems as me but when I try to follow their solutions, I find that the files they are referencing don't exist on my system, almost as if the installation is incomplete. I'm also on the latest version of macos and I've tried restarting the computer. Im really stuck and i need fusion for an assignment in school. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

@elmer.brannstrom What time zone are you on? would you be available for a quick screen share zoom call? It looks like there are not much of the directions to go from here to understand what is blocking Fusion.

My timezone is CEST. I can't do a zoom call right now as its pretty late. If youre not available during the weekend, I'm available most days after 4 PM except for this tuesday.

@elmer.brannstrom Thank you for meeting with me today and apologies that we were not able to solve the problem yet. Can you provide us one more piece of information?

1. Launch Fusion
2. Go to Activity monitor
3. Double click on Fusion
4. Run the sample and please upload the file here

@elmer.brannstrom Also on top of the sample - can you also please check to see if they have adexmtsv process is running in the activity monitor? If it is can you close it and now launch Fusion again?

I have another student with seemingly the same problem. Is it possible to offer him the webversion as well?

I'm sorry for the wait. I've been really busy today and I thought I replied yesterday. From what I can tell, adexmtsv is not running. The sample is attached.

@elmer.brannstrom Thanks for the sample files. It looks like a material library folder is what is causing this issue. A few more things to try out please.

I have also asked for access to Fusion online for you in the mean time.

  1. on the mac go to
  2. Finder - GO- Go to Folder - ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/WEbdeploy/production
  3. In the unique folder name under this folder you should see a Fusion 360 entry
  4. Right click on it and select “Show package content”
  5. Contents - library- AIRMAX - Right click on Adexmtsv and “open with terminal”
Does this run successfully or does it give any errors?

Next
  1. on the mac go to Finder - GO- Go to Folder - ~/Library/Application Support/
  2. Go to the Autodesk - Common - Materials library - 20230130-FY24-4.0.2
  3. Collect adexmtsv.log
Partly it looked like i was able to reproduce this launch issue on my mac and hence is what i did to clear it:
  1. Close Fusion
  2. Go to Finder - GO- Go to Folder - ~/Library/Application Support/
  3. Go to the Autodesk - Common - Materials library
  4. Delete folder - 20230130-FY24-4.0.2
  5. Restart machine - important
  6. Go to launchpad - Fusion service utility
  7. Run the repair command
I know this is a lot of info here but we are fixing some materials related launch issues in an upcoming may update.

1. Adexmtsv runs without problems, the log is attached.
2. Fusion still didn't launch. I've also attached the two latest logs. There's something on one of them but I'm dont sure thats from running fusion or from the service utility as theres two from today and I only recall running fusion once.

@elmer.brannstrom Thanks for the logs. The application logs still will not help but will look at the other log.
