Fusion 360 Free - Win 10 - Desktop Window Size

Every time I opened Fusion 360 it used to open in a normal window, the way I left it when I last exited the programme. Recently it opens at a different size, almost the whole screen, and I have to resize it to my preferred size. I now have to resize the window every time I open Fusion. The shortcut on my desktop is set to run in normal window (Windows 10). I'm using the free version of Fusion 360.

Has no one had or have this problem, just me?

I reported this same thing two monthly updates ago, spoke directly to the help desk. Gave them all sorts of details, have not heard back on any progress for it. On mine, when it opens it is too low on the screen, meaning that it sits behind the task bar at the bottom of the screen and I have to move the window up. In the past, it would open at the same size/place as the previous time it ran. Now it shows up low every time, the amount it comes up low seems random.

Autodesk - you guys doing anything about this one??

This issue seems to be getting worse with the latest releases.

Now instead of just opening the new application window in different places on the screen, it is opening at different sizes too. Had a couple of times recently when the Fusion window opened about 1/2" taller than the entire desktop, had to move it down, resize the top edge down, then move the window back up to see it all. When I had closed the application the previous time, the window was about 1" smaller in height than the desktop. The width is varying also, but has not gone off the screen yet.

This is really basic window position math and code, PLEASE take a few minutes and look at this one Autodesk! Its been a problem for months now, should not take you long to fix it!

Hi,

try this:

change    Fullscreen > Windowed Screen

Hi Gunther,

I do not run in full screen mode, always in windowed screen, since I need to be able to see other apps for references. It is the windowed application that keeps coming up in different places and at different sizes.

Oh, and unlike the title on this original post, I am using the paid version of Fusion, not the free one. In an earlier post note also that I have contacted customer service directly on this one, gave them a number of screenshots, a couple months ago, no fix yet...

Two years on, since my original post, and this is still a problem for me. Surely this is quite an easy fix?
