Our students are forced to use Google Chrome district wide. This is a setting set in Group Policy. We also have Microsoft Settings disabled via Group Policy as well to prevent them from accessing or changing settings and getting to the control panel. They are not allowed to use any browser other than Chrome. When launching Fusion 360, the application is opening in Edge by default which errors out saying they do not have permissions to use Edge and to contact an administrator. Since the students can’t change the default browser settings, is there anywhere in the Fusion system config file we can tell it to use chrome instead?

@jquintanilla Fusion uses the default browser of the machine for this. Can you confirm if chrome is the default on the machine that is showing this behavior?

Chrome is not the default browser. We are unable to change the default browser on these computers. Is there a way to force chrome to open the URL somehow?

@jquintanilla @I don’t believe there is a way to force chrome to do this. Fusion honors the default browser. If chrome is all that the students are allowed , would making it the default browser not be the best experience?

Also if this will not work, then you should try the browser version of Fusion that is available for student entitlement.
