I'm sorry to hear you are having issues after updating.   If you could send us your log files it would help us diagnose what is going wrong.  This link describes how to gather the log files, https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-manually-co....

I was able to talk with someone on your live chat and we got it resolved - "ADSSO component that we use for the License verification got corrupted while installing."

I reinstalled from file sent to me and all works.

Hi Chip,

Is there a way to go back a version for Macbook pro users who now can't orbit on their track pads any more?

Hi Marco,

I am not aware of a way to go back to a previous version of Fusion 360.  I'll pass on your issue with the track pad to some other people who may be able to help with that issue.

Hi,

Thanks for asking about mac trackpad. It sounds like you may be having trouble with yours after the recent update. There are a few important questions that come up in this situation.

The first thing to know is what are you experiencing with trackpad?

Have you tried restarting your computer yet?

Do you have Native Trackpad turned ON?

What is your macOS version currently?

Thanks,

Hi Phil,

When I hold down the shift key and do a secondary click and drag using the standard 2 finger gesture)on my Macbook Pro, it used to orbit the view but now nothing happens.  Also the 2 finger drag without the shift key zooms in and out instead of panning like it did before.  That used to happen sometimes before the update occasionally if I let my computer go to sleep while the app was still open but it would regain functionality after quitting and reopening Fusion 360.

Restarting my computer has no effect.

No I didn't have Native Trackpad turned on, it must had always been on by default before as I wasn't aware of its existance.

So I turned it on just now AND NOW IT WORKS AGAIN!   Thank you!

Problem solved!

Thanks,

Marco

have a new mac m2max running Ventura 13.3.  I don't see a native trackpad option.  Having the same problem...2 fingers on the trackpad expands/contracts....no pan option

It's under Preferences->Preview Features->General.

Seems odd that it's still in preview. If that's what's getting the most QA attention, seems like it'd be better to promote it to the default.

Brilliant, that worked for me as well! Bit of an odd 'preview' to restore functionality, but if it works, it works!

The intent of the preview is to get a lot of users to try it before it's the default. We have been slow to graduate this one out of preview, admittedly, but that is the intention for the future.

The preview option only partially fixes the problem for me - it returns two-finger drag to panning (it had become zooming), but two-finger drag with shift does nothing whereas it previously orbitted.  It is very VERY cumbersome to use Fusion 360 without a shortcut for orbit.

While I'm here I'll just mention that it would be perfect if two-finger drag panned and three-finger drag orbitted, so I don't have to reach for the SHIFT key.

Also, I now find that even if I select the Orbit function from the toolbar at the bottom it pans rather than orbits.  The only way to orbit is to plug in a mouse and use the middle button!

Are there no Macs in Autodesk's test department...?!

Previous remarks came from me. Also: fusion is much slower and asks a lot CPU. Inspecting a distance takes 10 times longer than before.

@johanCGD56 The crash report is for a crash on close document. Is that what you are experiencing?

Hi,
No, not really, it is random. I remark a very high slowdown, and almost no
CPU use.
This is while fusion is making a step file of 500 MB
That is the main factor I saw: almost no CPU use, but cooling kicks in.
So after april's update: slower and random crashes.
I even reinstalled the complete OS now.
