Fusion 360 crashes when opening Crashed Module KERNALBASE.dll

Hello,

My fusion 360 keeps crashing when I try to open it. Running on windows 10 on a Lenovo threadripper workstation.

I have tried

1. uninstalling and reinstalling it (multiple times)

2. Check for windows updates and updated my graphics card (QUADRO RTX4000)

3. Using the software tool to clean it

4. Holding CTRL SHIFT and using all the options present

5. Running as administrator and using the trouble shooting tool to launch in for windows 8

6. Changed my network connection

7. Ran virus scans on my computer

I went through the majority of things multiple times and still couldn't get it to launch without crashing.

I installed fusion on my mac and it worked.

Thanks for posting and sending in your crash reports. I need to clear up something about your hardware. Is there some reason the reports you sent are coming from a Win 11 machine rather than Win 10 as you described?

This is what your reports say: 64-bit Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200) (22000.co_release.210604-1628)

(internal reference FUS-108756)

Hello,

Thank you for your response! I upgraded to windows 11 in an attempt to fix the problem but it did not fix it at all.

Can you please check which video port the monitor is plugged into in your workstation? Is there a different port you could try?

I have two connections, type c to hdmi and a display port to hdmi, I switch to just the type c to hdmi, and then to display port to hdmi and same issue.

I made another user on my computer and it works fine for the other user but not for the main account. I have all my stuff on the main account so this isn't the best solution.

Can you try the service utility please?

The method you need is:

  • Manually by holding CTRL + SHIFT (Windows) or Command + SHIFT (macOS) before launching Fusion 360, then launch Fusion 360 until service utility shows up.

If possible, please gather logs as the first measure. I will need them to provide clues about how this happened for the report. Then try the other options in the article. Let me know if any of them succeed.

Thanks for your patience and help.

Here are the error logs on start up.

I made another fusion account to see if that would work ( not my student one ) and it didn't make a difference.

Looks like you've got an incompatible version of the AnsysWB addin installed, renaming this file should fix it :

C:/Program Files/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins/AnsysWBFusion221.bundle/Contents/winx64/DSPlugInAFCOM.dll

Please let me know if this helps.

I uninstalled ansys a while ago because it wouldn't work.

What should I rename it to? or can I just delete it?

Thanks so much for your help
