Not ideal, have you tried to uninstall Fusion and re-install ?

Are you on a Personal Licence or a paid Subscription, I think the Personal licence only allows a small number of files/drawings to be created.

Does this happen with every Fusion file or only with Imported files?

Did you save the file as a Fusion file before you tried to create a Drawing?

Can you upload a Fusion f3d file that is a problem?

To upload a file go to :-

File > Export > Select f3d Format > Save to a location on your computer > Then attach to your reply

Can you describe the steps? How did you upload the file? Then what were the steps leading to the crash?

Sorry, I see it was a .f3d that you attached. So you just get a crash as soon as you try to create a drawing from it?

I don`t think that I am able help much, your file works OK here so I can only think that there is an issue with your Fusion Installation or your computer is not powerful enough.

Attached is a .PDF file of a drawing done from your file. I did find that the parts of the file did not join together properly so that may be your problem, maybe Autodesk can help out with this one.

Meantime attached is the file I saved with my small modification, it may work for you, it is not a good Model, is it something that you imported ??

Hope you can make some sense of this, works here, maybe my file will work for both of you ??  🙂 🙂

I had some interesting results. In a local development build -- not the same as what's in production, I was able to get a crash when opening the document, and then creating a new drawing. But, in that workflow, as well as just right-clicking on the document in the side panel, worked fine with the current production build.

So it seems like there's something going on here, but it's not consistent.

Did you get a crash report?
