Fusion 360 crash after latest update

I’m experiencing a major stability regression in Fusion 360 immediately after the latest update. The application consistently crashes whenever I use core features such as dimensions, extrude, or sketch creation, and overall performance has become significantly slow and unresponsive.

I’ve already executed every standard remediation step, including full reinstallations, clean system resets, specification adjustments, and system clearance, but the issue persists.

At this point, Fusion 360 crashes every time these features are used, making the software completely unusable for production work. This behavior started only after the update, and it appears to be tied directly to the new build.

I need assistance in either rolling back to a stable previous version or deploying an official fix, as the current release is blocking all design activities.

Hi @jadhavrajvardhan11 ,

I'm sorry to hear about the crashes after the latest update, I understand how disruptive this can be.

To help us investigate and identify the root cause, could you please provide a few additional details?

1. Crash Report ID

  • When Fusion crashes, do you receive a crash dialog with a Crash Report ID?
  • If yes, please share one or more of those IDs — they help us pinpoint the failure.

2. Fusion Version Number

  • Please confirm the exact Fusion version/build number you are running.
  • You can find this under Help > About

4. Sample Design Files and video/Screen recording of the issue that you are facing

  • Please export your design as .f3d or .f3z to your local drive and attach it here.
  • Record a short video showing:
    • The workflow leading up to the crash
    • Which command triggers the crash (extrude, dimensioning, etc.)
  • These details will be extremely useful for debugging and help us reproduce the crash on our end.

5. Does it happen in all designs?

Please confirm:

  • Does Fusion crash on every design, even a brand-new empty sketch?

  • Or only on a specific project?

6. Any known error messages?

If you see any error dialogs, freeze behavior, or unusual warnings before the crash, please share a screenshot.

Once we have these details, I’ll check if there’s a possible workaround, and our team will investigate further to provide you with the next steps

Screen Recording 2025-11-16 181515.mp4

1. No i do not receive any Crash Report ID, instead the screen freezes and
i get a system notification that fusion has stopped working
2. Fusion version :- Fusion <#version>2605.1.18 x86_64 <#version>
4. The drive link for screen recording of exact issue is attached with this
mail, the commands such as extrude and dimensions especially trigger the
crash the most.
5. Yes the crash happens in almost every design and even any new design i
start working on.

Hi @jadhavrajvardhan11 ,

I am unable to see the screen recording attached to your reply. Could you please check and attach it again? Additionally, could you verify if your machine meets the system requirements for Autodesk Fusion?

Also, please attach Diagnostic Log files, this will hep us to identify the cause of hang.
