Fusion 360 - Cloud Credits - Student

Hello,

I want to render an animation in Fusion 360 (Student Version) in HD. This seems to be possible only in the cloud. In low quality it works fine but for HD I need cloud credits.

The support told me to instal Revit 2018 and sent me a short manual for unlocking 999999999999 cloud credis for free with an educational account. I attached this manual. At point B I had to sign out and then sign in again with my Education Community ID. I used my standard e-mail address for this and Revit 2018 shows "STUDENT VERSION" in the header.

But now, when I click on "Account Details" there is not Button "Services" wehre I can see the cloud credits. So I can't find the Live Map Data, mentioned in the manual.

But when I

- go to www.autodesk.com

- login to my Autodesk Account

- click on "my cloud credits"

it is shown that I have 100 cloud credis remaining. I think they appeared after installing Revit. Fairly enought to render my animation. But in Fusion 360 this cloud credits are not displayed in render window. I am still limited per request.

So I have two problems:

1. I can not unlock the unlimited cloud credits for the Student Version as described in the manual

2. I can not see my 100 cloud credits in Fusion 360.

The support said, that they are not responsible and I must ask here in the forum. Hope so much somebody can help me, I am was wasting so many houres on this...

Hi @g_proepper,

Sorry for the delay in getting to you. To my knowledge - there should be no need to download/install Revit in order to get access to the unlimited cloud credit pool. My guess is that the 100 CC is showing up over the unlimited as they need to get used first within Fusion 360. The 100 is a one time grant since you are a new user. Once those run out, Fusion should show "unlimited" within the Render dialog for credits left.

Regarding what you see in your Autodesk Account, this is typical of what we see with education accounts as your credits are part of a shared contract (the education one) as opposed to bought ones/etc. Since it is unlimited, there won't be an "available left" within your accounts page, but you should see one within the render dialog in Fusion.

Let me know your findings, but in the meantime I would use the remaining credits you have, and if you run into any snags, let me know and we can sort this out. At this time, everything looks okay though from what I can see.

Thanks,

The problem is solved (more or less). Actually I had unlimited cloud credits in Fusion all the time. My problem is the limitation of 16 credits per request. I would need more than 100 per request. So as far as I understand I have to "rent" Fusion and some cloud credits to render my animation in the required resolutuion.
