Fusion 360 Can only work offline otherwise freezes up anyone else having this issue?

Hello for the last two days, (After an update) I've been having issues with Fusion freezing up when online. Works just fine when off-line things I've tried I've reinstalled Fusion with the same results. Here is a snapshot of it frozen, I also tried letting it be frozen overnight and came back in the morning to it still frozen. I've subscribed to Fusion 360 since 2014 or so and have never had any issues like this before. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

@tommyscustomshop @Likely something to do with network is first guess here based on symptoms.

The image seems to be from Windows OS.

1. Close Fusion

2. Goto Add/remove program

3. Select Fusion- modify

This will launch the service utility

4. Run reset Fusion

Noe launch Fusion again. It should ask you to login and hopefully this takes care of the problem.

if it does not help then:

1. Go to service utility and run gather system info. It will generate log files in two zips. Please attach them here.

2. Another quick test to run is to reset your router and see if that helps.

3. Connecting to another network (your phone hotspot for example) and seeing what happens could help as well.

Hello, Rajkumar hope all is well,

I did what you suggested and reset Fusion with the same results just as when I uninstalled Fusion and reinstalled it, I also ran a diagnostic test, and here are the results (Photo)

Thanks

@tommyscustomshop The logs shows a ton of errors that could not establish connections. Did you try the reset of router and also another network? I will keep looking at the logs for more information.

I reset the network and the same freeze happens. What I do not understand is I completely uninstalled Fusion twice now and reinstalled it twice now and still have the same results is there a way to install Fusion without the latest updates?

@tommyscustomshop Its certainly not the update and No there is no way to roll back. Uninstall and reinstall is really not going to help here. It's certainly not connecting well with the network.

Is there a possibility for you to connect to another network and see if that helps? Where I am going with this is there could be a proxy or firewall as well that is blocking the access (we recently had a customer very similar to this situation and it turns out that the firewall in their ISP provider all of a sudden started to black Fusion calls). So I a trying to eliminate various pieces here to see where the problem is.

Is there something in the Firewall allowed apps I should be looking for?

@tommyscustomshop We can check by turning off the firewall and seeing if that lets the connects go through. This will give us an independent in terms of what direction we want to go to get to the root of this. one of it is use another network if you can like a hotspot and that could tell us a lot or eliminate a lot of other possibilities.

Another one (bit far shot ) is on the same machine create another user account and install Fusion to see if that solves the problem. It could give us another direction on where we want to look for the problem.

So I found this (see Photo) and followed it with still same results. I have not updated anything like Windows 10 to 11 or anything. I don't have a hot spot to use or any other network. So to let you know where I'm at if I fire up Fusion and let it remain online without doing anything it will freeze but if I fire up Fusion and turn it off online then things seem to work.  I use Fusion daily for nearly ten years (2014) programming and designing ejection molds stamping dies also pay for Advanced Manufacturing tools I and never had this kinda of issues before.

Same problem here on MacOS since two days.
- Already reinstalled (took hours instead of a few minutes - that isn't normal)

- Already tried it in an other network

- Already checked ports and firewall

@tommyscustomshop To see what else could be going on can you please do the following? This is some work involved here but hoping this will give us a lot more insights.

This is getting machine log files using process explorer.

1. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer
2. Can you downloaded from the above link and run Fusion to get the logs from process explorer

This now gives a lot more insights into what is happening in the backed.

Hello, Rajkumar hope all is well.

I cheated so I really didn't figure out the real issue, but it all works now. I reinstalled Windows 10 from scratch. That's why I wasn't able to respond quickly. Thank you for all your help.

Having the same issue but I haven't tried running it offline. Rahul SPatil was no help and told me to come here. I had 0 issues till this latest update so clearly there is a bug. And I'm not about to uninstall to reinstall Win 10 again so I will find a new program.

If you don't want to do a full reinstall of windows try a windows refresh. I want to tell you that after the total reinstall my computer works a lot better. Just my two cents.
