Fusion 360 becomes as slow as I cannot edit my model. I have 3 desktops and this issue happens in common.

I wonder other users is experiencing same issue with me or not.

For your info, version of my fusion is 2605.1.18.

Thank you.

Hi @msdos82

What kind of operations are slow? Would you be willing to share a model with us for investigation?

Cheers,

Karina

This is a model that I found a problem at first. But the same issue occurs
with other models as well.

For your information, specification of my desktop is;
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor (3.50 GHz)
RAM 32.0GB
System Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (26100.6584), 64bit, x64

Fusion 360 version installed : 2605.1.18

I have two more pc, 1 is desktop and the other one is laptop. And I checked
I'm having the same problems on my PCs.
Please let me know if you need something more to find a solution.

Thank you. Regards

When you share the file, can you also collect and share diagnostic log files from a machine where you opened the design?

Thanks,
Karina

Thanks @msdos82

What kind of operations are you doing when Fusion locks up? That file seems to work fine for me. Thanks for sending in the performance report, I'll have the team take a look.

Hi @msdos82, thanks for reporting!

Could you please share your Graphics Diagnostics info by capturing from Help->Support and Diagnostics->Graphics Diagnostics?
In the meanwhile, you can refer to the solutions listed in this article to see if it can help. Slow performance and freezes working in any workspace in Autodesk Fusion

Thanks,

Lisa

Please see Graphics Diagnostics info captured.

It does not seem to be a problem to a single model I sent. Because same kind of freezing and moving issue occurs even in a empty model.

Anyway I'll read the solutions closely in your link.  Thank you for your information.

@msdos82

Are you using a 3DConnexion input device (if you don't know the answer - then it is almost certainly no and you can disregard next sentence).

If yes, have you recently Calibrated the device?  Does everything return to normal if you unplug the device?

I'm not using any input device of 3DConnexion. Just wireless keyboard and mouse of Logitech using dongle.

And I'm not sure input device is related. Because my laptop using its built-in keyboard and mouse is also having same issue.

Please see  Graphics Diagnostics info captured in my laptop. I hope this is useful for you to analyze the trouble.

Thanks, @msdos82 !

The graphics diagnostics looks good to me. I suppose you haven't turned on the software graphics.

The performance report 107103 is under investigation, we’ll keep you updated as we make progress.

Thanks,

Lisa

Thanks for your reply.

What does it mean 'not turned on the software graphic'? Can you please let me know what I need to try to turn it on?

Best regards,

Hi @msdos82, you can check the option through Graphics Diagnostics still. To not slow down the performance, the option should be unchecked.

Thanks,

Lisa

Our Dev team has completed the performance report analysis and identified that file system modification events related to cache files are likely causing the slowness.

We’d like to suggest the following steps for a try:

  • Clear cache dataHow to clear the local user cache in Fusion
  • Check antivirus/file-sync tools: If there was a recent change in your antivirus settings or if a file-sync tool is monitoring Fusion folders, try disabling it temporarily to see if performance improves.
  • Switch Fusion to offline mode: Run Fusion in offline mode and observe whether the performance is better.

Please let us know if these steps help improve the situation.

Lisa

Thanks for your kind effort.

I tried every steps you suggested. So it appears that the reason has been found.

When I run Fusion in offline mode, its performance becomes great as before.

Now I think I need to check further to be sure my issue is from internet service provider or not.

One thing that worries me is that I have already tried running the program on my laptop in a different internet environment and the same problem persisted.

One another reason I'm suspecting is what related to windows update. Regarding this, could you please let me know about suggested setting for window security in detail?

Best regards,

Hi @msdos82 , Good to know that you have figured out that the problem doesn't happen when Fusion is in offline mode.

Regarding your suspicion, yes, here are a few more tips which you can have some try and see if it helps.

Antivirus and network connectivity issues.

Let us know whether it works. Thanks for your help as always!
