FM gears add-in problem

Hello,

I have been using for a while FM gear generator as an add-in but after the last update I couldn't use it. It gives an error when I try to create a gear which is 'Bad index parameter'. The add-in was very effective and successful for me. It is very important for me to use it again. Because I have been manufacturing my gears developing my prototype accordingly and the GF gear generator do not give the exact same result. They create same module gears with different root diameters. Even 0.057 mm is very important for me. If anyone could help me about it I would very appreciate it.

Kind regards,

Sabah

I to used this Fusion Add-in.  I wrote to and heard from the author and it would see a recent update of Fusion introduced a variation in the scripting language.  He is aware of it and hope he can fix it soon.

I wanted to point you to a stand-alone application created by the same author as FM Gears that may be a substitute for FM Gears until, and if, the author repairs it.  It is called GearDXF and it will generate gears, much like the FM Gears Add-In and give you a few file types to work with, not just DXF.  Here is the link.

Seems to be fixed with version 1.4.

Try the following link to download the latest version.  Forest Moon Productions - FMGears   ( https://www.forestmoon.com/Software/FMGears/)

I just shutdown Fusion and then copied the new files overtop of the old Add-in and it worked fine when I restarted fusion.

Hello, I replaced all of the old files with the new files however, when I open Fusion, it does not allow me to run FM Gears. Could anyone help me fix this problem?

If you go to "Utilities"/"Add-ins"/Scripts and Add-ins" then click on the "Add-ins" tap of the window that opens is "FMGears" listed there?

Once I overwrite the files, it doesn't show "FMGears" anymore

The same issue was resolved by installing .Net Desktop Runtime 6.0
