First Time Save in New Project Won't Work

When creating a New Project folder by way of saving a file for the first time (which is an option in the pop up window and I'm sure a fairly typical workflow) Fusion will not let you save the file into this project. All other Projects remain accessible and you instead need to cancel the saving of this file and click Save again, the new project will then be available. Screencast below showing me clicking it a number of times after finished creatingthe Project Folder:

Failing that you can save it into a different Project Folder and then move it... except that I found that doesn't seem to work either as no other Project Folder is selectable, instead it appears as though the only option is to save it in a sub-folder to the Project that you are already working in. So instead you will need to Copy this file to the correct Project Folder after having saved it in the wrong one and then delete the redundant copy...see Screencast below as well:

Creating the new project works as you demonstrate,

top section of the window allows a file name,

next section - Location,

has a select drop arrow, Click on it Select the location for this file.

Click select from left lower listing is as demonstrated not a valid workflow.

Question 2, becomes redundant.

Might help....

Even doing the new project, then selecting and saving is working fine for me on both Windows 10 and macOS.

Thanks @davebYYPCU for looking at this but I am not new to Fusion and I understand how the Save dialog box works. Not sure if you have watched the video I uploaded but in it you would have seen that I tried exactly what you have suggested and the ability to create a New Project Folder then select it as my location is not available, at least to me. Instead only pre-existing Projects are accessible on the first time save instance. On closing out of this process the New Project folder has still been created and you can then save it there when you try for the 2nd time but this is redundant...

The second question was more of a statment in that "Move" only works within a Project Folder (including any sub-folders) and does not allow you to move a file between Projects, which seems shortsighted to me. I only discovered this behaviour due to the frustration encountered in the above problem seeing as I had saved it in a different folder thinking it would be a snap to shift...

Cheers though!

Cheers @ryan.bales for looking at this...not sure what is going on then on my end as it definitiely doesn't work for me and everything, as far as I can tell, is up to date. I restarted everything just in case the computer was having a moment but it doesn't appear to have fixed anything since yesterday...

Are you able to Move files between top level Project Folders as well?

David

Yes i have no issues moving files (as long as no links or drawings exist as that doesn't work yet). let me tag in @charegb and see if he has any ideas why this isn't working.
