File Will Not Upload. [I've tried everything I've found]

I have a file that I have been attempting to upload for the last approximately 26 hours. There is the "File is not available at the moment" exclamation mark, and whenever it is added to the upload queue, upload status jumps to about a third way done, then stops indefinitely.

I've tried:

  • Cancelling stalled uploads
  • Cancelling stalled uploads, Clearing Cache
  • Cancelling stalled uploads, Clearing Cache, restarting my computer
  • Signing in and out of fusion360.
  • Going into offline mode, saving a new version, leaving offline mode.
  • Growling incoherently at the display.

Frustratingly, nothing has happened and the file is avoiding uploading as stubbornly as a dead, 10-ton, mule. I noticed that Autodesk Vault Gateway had a brief outage earlier last night/today, but it is ostensibly over. All help would be extremely appreciated!

@elimKDXAA Can you please do the below:

1. Go to Fusion - Help - Support an diagnostics
2. Get diagnostic logs
3. This will generate a zip file. please attach the log files

Now assuming you are on Windows, please do the following:

1. Close Fusion 360
2. Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\UNIQUE ID\P.login\DELETE jobs.json

3. Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\UNIQUE ID\W.login\DELETE folder Q
4. Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\UNIQUE ID\W.login\DELETE UploadQueuedFileList.xml

5. Now start Fusion 360

6. Open the design you are working on
7. make a small change and save
8. Monitor the job status to see if the upload completes

If the upload completes then you should be good to know moving forward. The logs you submit could tell us what went wrong.

Hi Rajkumar,

Thank you so much for your quick reply! I've attached the logs, and followed the steps you provided, but unfortunately I am now not even able to open the file, it simply looks like this after Fusion opens:

@elimKDXAA Thank you for the logs. I am seeing a lot of errors reported in the logs. I am consulting our engineering team on what could be happening here.

For this particular design, if you go to version 7, are you able to open that successfully? If you can then what happens when you try to open Version 8?

Hi Rajkumar,

I'm only able to open version 2, and after doing so, there is no change in any other versions' accessibility. Thank you for being so prompt in replies, I really appreciate it!

@elimKDXAA thanks for including the image. I can see that since V2 none of the saves have the thumbnails and that shows there is some problem.

I have passed along the log files to our engineering team since I am certainly seeing some errors that are being reported in the log files.

What I am suggesting below may not be ideal since this likely means the changes made to V3 and above will be lost but you can Open V2 - Go to File - Save as latest- This should now put your V2 as the tip version and create it as V10. Saves from this point should work well but as I said v3 - v9 changes will be lost.

I will certainly circle back to this thread when I have more information on why we cannot open V3-v9.

Thank you very much for passing them along! I am now able to open v3-v9, and what's more, the file has uploaded! I made no further troubleshooting, so perhaps the issue was related to the Autodesk Vault outage after all. Anyhow, thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it!
