Hi,

Does anybody know an estimated timeline for how long it will take for Fusion 360 to become FedRamp compliant?  On the FedRamp webpage it shows that AutoDesk cloud services are in the process of becoming compliant.

Here is a link to the FedRAMP webpage.

Hi Blair,

Our projected date for Fusion is a couple of years away, from 2018->2019 or so.

I am assuming you are involved with govt. related contracts...so can you give some details how this is going to impact you?

We were just looking at Fusion 360 as a possible software solution for some
future projects, but since it is primarily cloud based we need it to be
FedRamp certified. If there was a way to save all files locally instead of
in the cloud that might make things easier for us. Is there anyway of
disabling all cloud storage?

Hi Blair,

Cloud storage is integral and the collaboration value prop for Fusion 360.

We are working on local caching of data to enable users to continue working in their sessions when degradations and outages strike, but primary storage of data will remain to be the cloud.

If it helps....we will get SOC2 certification (which a few enterprise customers are requesting) much before FedRamp. I still don't have exact dates on this...but, that is surely on a shorter leash than FedRamp.

Awesome.  Thank you for all of the information.  I will pass on the info about the SOC2 certification, and see if that helps.

Hello,

I just wanted to see if there has been any movement toward FedRAMP compliance. I do not see Fusion 360 listed anywhere as pending or certified. My organization will not be able to use the AutoDesk Cloud if it is not FedRAMP and restricted from non-US persons.

Thanks

@shrirangmoghe

Is there any update on the FedRamp Compliance?  With CMMC looming, we are starting to move all our programming away from Fusion 360.

There are no Autodesk products listed on the FEDRAMP page, even under the "In Process" category.

https://marketplace.fedramp.gov/

Is there any update on this? Any timeline for completion? Or has the FEDRAMP approval process been abandoned?

Maybe offer a version with the all of the cloud features disabled for federal contractors?

I'd like to know so I can determine if I need to start learning a different CAD program.

Is there any estimated date for completion for the compliance for autodesk? I saw that it entered PMO review in August of 2023. Is there any more information known.

Well, they got approved yesterday. I wonder when it will deploy to end users. FedRamp took two-years, yikes! AWS is already GovCloud and FedRamp ready, why not host the AD data there? https://aws.amazon.com/compliance/itar/
