If I make a feature affecting multiple components, they will persist in other component's timelines even after I remove them from the feature. This pollutes the timelines with features that don't do anything. How do I remove this feature from timelines that are no longer affected by it?

yes, this is a known bug: FUS-44808. There is no way today to remove a feature from being considered as part of a component until the entire feature is removed.
