Feature Request: Merge/ Join scope

When performing an extrusion, there is an option to pick which objects and bodies are cut, I would like to see something similar to this with Join Extrusions. The workaround I've done is extruding a new body and then combine after. It works but it clutters my timeline more than necessary.

Or….

Hide all bodies your new extrusion should not join to.  
Make the new extrusion, set join, and the new material will only join to the window visible material.

No need for a New Body or Combine.
