Facet a mitred box

Hello.

This should be simple but I can not get it.

I want to facet one full edge of a mitred box.

Below you will see a construction line, and a red line showing the length of the cut from edge to edge.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Create a sketch on the near face and extrude cut.

Won't need a sketch for the 

Modify > Chamfer tool.
