F360 performance sucks

Hello. I have a beefy system but Fusion runs on it like it's a rusty nut and bolt.  I have a 16 core system with 64 GB RAM and a 3070 RTX Super, and SSD...and yet I find myself waiting for Fusion to complete seemingly mundane tasks.

Upon Resource Monitor inspection I see that most all cores go unused, and there's a lot of network activity with virtually every command.  I feel that I could get the same performance out of a laptop!

What is the deal with Fusion and performance with highly capable multi-core systems?  Is there a config file that can be edited to tell Fusion to use all resources available? (i.e., cores).  What, if anything, can be done to improve Fusion performance?

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file that exhibits this slow behavior to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

This is most likely specific to one or more designs that have complex operations in them.  But, as @TheCADWhisperer says, there is no advice we can offer without seeing a design.  Do you see similar performance if you create a new empty design and create a cube?  There are some operations which are expensive and can be avoided to help (e.g. large sketch patterns).

Regarding core usage - a lot of 3D geometry operations are inherently single-threaded.  8, 16, 32 cores are not going to make any difference in those areas.

I can't upload the design (proprietary). However this happens with everything, not just a large file with lots of features.  It gets slower as I add features to the drawings, regardless of the drawing.  The drawing doesn't address the app itself, which is what I'm questioning.

Thanks. That is the answer that I was looking for... the dreaded single threaded app.  So it's nearly 2021 and we still have single threading on an app like this that would hugely and clearly benefit from a multithreaded design.   Writing multi-threaded apps is no walk in the park, but it's worth it, especially for a product like this that costs what it does on paid tiers.

Can't you make up a dummy file that exhibits the same slow behavior?

I am not seeing this behavior on my 9yr old laptop.

I can, and will whip something up later and post (jammed up today).
