Extruding a spline split body

Hello, I have problem after cutting the body into two bodies after spline. I want to extrude the innermost part of the face (shown selected in image). Extrude, move and push/pull wont work as they usually do, since extrude deforms the curvature. Please help.

In the picture using the press pull command.

Hi @eykrik ,

What final result are you expecting? Are you trying to join the two bodies, or extend the geometry by a specific distance?

If you could share a simple hand sketch or an image showing the desired outcome, that would help us understand your goal better.

Yes i would only like to extend the parts that are shown on the image by 8.5mm toward x axis. I do not want to join the bodies. Extrude and press pull commands will not work as they usually do, they deform the curvature.

If I understand your requirements, here is what I would do:

  • split the body using a plane, somewhere else
  • move the two bodies by 8.5 mm
  • re-join the bodies using Extrude

Okay, that seems pretty clever, will try, thank you 🙂

@eykrik

What hasn't been mentioned here is that there are quite a few unresolved errors highlighted in your design Timeline.

Run the Ctrl b command (CMD b on Mac)

What do you observe?

Would you like to learn how to fix all of this and avoid issues in future designs?
