Extrude for Roof Pro Panel

Following on to my last question, I now have fixed up the sketch (no white dots/blue lines).

and I can now extrude. However, to do this I had to create lines that I don't want in order to get the extrude. (See the "v" underneath the panel. Surely this is a kludge. How do I do this right?

Did you Attach the correct file?

I see only blue lines and no use of obvious symmetry about the Origin.

You are doing way to much work.

Ready to see an easier way?

Yes, I see that, but that is an Extrusion, not a sketch.

The sketch is your foundation and right now you are building a house of cards on a foundation of quicksand.

Check back in a bit for step-by-step instructions.

When we get started - our sketch will be very simple.

Notice the red lock symbol on the sketch in the browser.

Notice that the sketch is black.

These are two indications that the sketch is fully defined.
