Extrude distance equation simplifies itself

When entering a simple equation for extrusion distance, the equation collapses itself into its simplest form. For example, I enter ".5+1" and it will change into "1.5". This is not how it used to behave, and other dimensional input does not act this way (such as fillet radius). This puts a complete halt to all my CAD as I use this feature all the time!

Yep, that is a bug. There are other areas where that happens as well!

@jodom4  @Phil.E Can you note this down?

When editing, the field displays the value but not the expression. I recently responded to another thread with another filed where that also was the case. I tagged an AD employee but no one ever responded.

It's time to put a stop to that!

Yes, the expression is correct in the parameters dialogue.

But when you edit the extrude feature in the timeline, the field in the dialogue displays the value, not the expression.

ah, so it is Edit Extrude that doesn't work, not Extrude.  OK, got it.

[edit] created FUS-96223 for this bug
