exporting from fusion to solidworks

i am trying to export a assembly from fusion360 to my coworker who is using solidworks. the main problem we are coming across is being able to open and create individual drawings for parts. i already tried changing the import settings from a mesh to a solid body but it still does not let me open a individual part and create a drawing with said part. ive tried stl., step, and obj file format

TLDR: is there anyway to export a part from fusion and open and create a drawing from a solid part in solidworks

Exporting your model from Fusion 360 as a STEP file should work.  I do not have Solidworks but I do use Inventor and in the Screencast I take the Fusion 360 model all the way through to the creation of a component drawing in Inventor.  Surely Solidworks can do the same as Inventor.

I don’t know what this means in the context of your problem description, but it immediately strikes me as a big red flag.  I suspect that you omitted critical information.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Attach the resulting *.stp file (might have to zip first to Attach).
