Export Single Component From Assembly File Not Working

I have an assembly with two components. 

I would like to export just one component from the file.

See video of it not working. When I export just one component, then open the export, both components are in the export.

Few things, 

You used the ring to make part of the cap, so there is a relationship.

Export as STP will strip the Fusion components, and you likely have 2 bodies, but you didn't show that.

I would expect Save Copy As and not Export to do a better job.
