Export Drawing in Fusion 360 not available

I'm trying to Export a Drawing from Fusion 360 for a Class Assignment.

I have created the Drawing from model and added some different views.

When I come to the step to export, the 'Export' command in the drop down is greyed out/un-available.

Is it because I have a student access?

I see the other options for PDF / DWG / and CVS and those seem to work.

But my instructor was specific in requesting the final drawing through Export.

So do I have a setup issue or what????  Seems pretty straight forth.  Even in the lab, I can't do the export, leading me to think it's my student account setup.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting! Fusion (program) can export a drawing as PDF/DWG/CSV only and this is not because you have student entitlement. You can download a drawing in Fusion file format from the web instead.

Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Elizabeth,

Just to add to what Masa said, the Fusion drawing (f2d) can't be exported as a single file.  You can output it as a DWG from within the drawing environment (this breaks its link to the Fusion model) or, if you Open Details on Web you'll see a download button in the upper right corner.  Choose Fusion 360 Archive and this will export a f3z, which contains both the model (f3d) and the drawing.  This file can then be uploaded by the instructor and this will upload both design/drawing.

Thanks,

Chris
