Can you elaborate on what "cannot read bodies" means ?

A STEP file only contain "dumb" bodies. No sketches, construction geometry, joints etc.

That geometry can be edited fine in SolidEdge.

IMHO your bodies should by all means be organized into components.

This is not a *.STEP or *.stp file?

Several of your sketches are underconstrained?

My guess is the SOLIDEDGE user does not know how to use SOLIDEDGE.

Direct editing of imported STEP training is needed.

Does it work any better if you convert the bodies to components? Not sure how Solidedge would deal with all the bodies in one component like you have it. For an assembly like this I'd use Rule#1 and create individual self-contained components from the start.
