Expanding complex body (Adding surrounding layer(?) )

Hi,

I want to know if there's a feature, or an easy way of expanding an object, or maybe adding a surrounding layer to a body.

I'm embedding a body 1 (the letter "G") into another body 2 (circular shape), but I want a gap between the body 1 and the body 2 so they are not touching each other.
I know that I can manually trace all the surroundings of body 1, but I want to know if there's an easier way since I'll be doing this often.

Here I've attached some files for better understanding.

Thanks!

The easy way,

In the sketch of the letter -  G ?  If you have a sketch edit it,

double click the Boundary and offset it by the “how much”

Extrude both profiles by the “how deep”.

Might help....

Interesting, but in this case they are SVG's and when I hit edit I don't see that option anywhere.

Edit the sketch,

Select this offset tool,

double click on the boundary (green lines)
