Exit out commands with escape

It has been a few weeks since I last used Fusion, but I am under the impression that I cannot exit out of sketches and or commands using the escape key, which I recall worked previously. As long as any dimension string is active in sketching or features, it won't exit out. For instance, upon selecting a profile to extrude, escape does not abort the command. The same is true for sketches after the initial click for a curve/ line/ primitive shape.

E: Latest Fusion version & windows 10.

Yes the Escape key will exit out of any command such as Extrude, sketch dimension but it does not exit out of an environment such as Finish Sketch.  Works perfectly for me.  Have you by chance mapped your keyboard Escape for something else?

This pertains to commands specifically, not to environments, indeed. Escape cannot be remapped, as it exits the dialogue.
E: For sure this is not Fusion's expected behavior. It's like the escape key is frozen upon initiating commands in general, it does not apply to constraints, nor to inspect commands.

Hello,

Since the last update (Aug 2020), I can't espace from tools like "Line" in sketch editing.

I have to click on the check icon to finish.

I'm on a Mac.

Thanks

Same exact issue:

2.0.9512
Active Plan: Fusion 360, Subscription
macOS 10.16.0

Randomly unable to escape out of dimension, line and other commands.

So tired of this nonsense...

I assume F360 is 33% off because adoption rates are not meeting expected projections. I wonder why?

This product lurches from one unusable UI glitch to the next.  Please fix this.

-No, my keyboard is not broken -
-No, my keyboard does not need to be vacuumed
-No, I should not have to reboot 17 times a day to keep a piece of software stable

-No, I am not making a screen cast to demonstrate something that is easily explained
-Yes, other people keep reporting the same issue.

Hi Guys,

I have the same issue, the only workaround is to click with the right mouse button and select "Cancel".

Very annoying...

It now works for me again, although I'm not sure in which version they fixed it.

New Intel Mac. same problem. I have more and more problems with the program. Last version full of bugs on Mac. It stops working several times a day. The only way to work further is to kill the program and start it new.
Cannot be that you cannot escape a process, this is deadly sinn of programming!!!
One of the biggest issues is the "intelligence": it starts calculating as soon as you tip a number or move the arrows; if something happens, then it blocks everything. No way to go out of this.
Must it be?
Dear programmers, you are not helping, you are killing the program.

Is the escape key also supposed to close open dialogue boxes?

Who knows anymore - the UI is a dumpster fire of inconsistencies, efficiency bottlenecks and 5 year old untouched bugs and ant-patterns for things that were solved in UIs decades ago. I gave up reporting or complaining because nobody cares and nothing ever changes.
