Engraving, following a contour, tool placement

Hello

I have some questions regarding engraving that i can't manage.

a) Is there a way to select the position of the tool on the line? As you can see in the picture in A the tool is in the inside of the contour.  In B the tool is on the outside of the contour (the program made the selections ). In C because i had two closed loop and the tool selected the inside in both i finally got a double line.

So Is there a way in A to select the tool on the outside or above the line?

In B is there a way to select the tool above the line (on the center?)

In C is there a way to make that line only the tool go on the center?

And finally how can i make the following in OPEN (single) lines?
How does the application selects the contours? It finds closed loops that i do not want.

Should i use another action and not engraving for the above?

Thank you in advance

Ok, I found that using ALT allows for selection of single line contours. But i can't find a way to select the inner or the outer side for engraving.

Well, Just got it.

When selecting a contour some red arrows apear. If you click on the arrow it changes the selection of (inner of outer) of the tool.

So still only one question. Is there a way for the tool to follow the line in the center?

Hi @saslanis,

I'm glad to see you've found many of these solutions on your own. Are you asking about following the line exactly with no left or right offset? If so, the easiest way is to use the Trace toolpath strategy and on the Passes tab select Center for Sideways Compensation.

Let me know if that helps you out!
