embossing shx text on a curve

I am trying to engrave shx text on a curve and just cant seem to make it happen

please help

SHX fonts are single like fonts and do not create a Profile which is required to use the Emboss command.  The attached video is on the process you could use to accomplish your task.

Hi,

1. Engraving is not possible with single-line fonts.
2. The "Trace tool" can be used for single line fonts. However, the font must be converted to paths via Right-click > Explode

when I do what you tell me only partial letters extrude and i am extruding on a cylinder i think tha

t might be different

Hi,

Here´s a simple tracing on cylinder. 

Of course, this works better with a fourth axis.

File > export save as f3d on local drive > attach to post

Accepted solution

All fonts are not reliable as far as creating entities when exploded.  This is the fault of the font and not Fusion 360 or the process.  Here is Romans.shx font extruded and trimmed to a cylinder.  Model is attached.
