Emboss same text on multiple objects

Hey everyone, me again... ^^

Question: Is there a way I can emboss the same text on multiple objects?

I currently have 4 different object with 4 different texts and have to search through the timeline and suppress the ones I don't want and activate the onces I need. This is pretty time-consuming and the timeline is starting to get pretty crouded (as more objects will be designed, with even more texts)

My Goal: Being able to select multiple bodies when embossing text - to have the text imprinted on more than one body at once.

If there is no option for this, it might me a nice feature to add.

I tried to simplify... I don't even know how to explain.. let me try.

The objects I have (inner and outer rim) all vary in design (their width is parametric - circumference "for text" stays the same)

I have a different text for each variant - depending on which characteristics it has.

Screenshot (878).png

If I change the dimensions to (A) all objects change in size - but they are still different in design and therefore need a different emboss (V1-A) (V2-A) (V3-A) (V4-A)

If I change to size (B) - the emboss changes to (V1-B) (V2-B) (V3-B) (V4-B)

and so on...

If I had the possibility to emboss text to multiple objects, I would only need to change the text once for every version.

At the moment its something like this:

I have 4 bodies - each one followed by 4 groups with a different text (Version) and emboss.

If I change the dimensions - I have to go through all 16 groups -  suppress 12 of them and activate the 4 i want.

If I change the dimensions again (wich will happen more often as design varies) I have to again go through all 16 groups.

If I was to emboss on the currently 4 objects, I would only need to go through 4 groups. not 16 (or maybe 30 or more) depending on the coming alterations in design.

I hope its easier to understand now..

Maybe my workflow is bad and I need a totally different approach, but this is the only way I know.

I think Parametric Text is what you need

Oh wow.... this is awesome!! Thank you so much! I googled pretty much before asking and looked everywhere I could, but this add-on did not show up anywhere.

It works great! 😄
