Emboss not working as expected - Fusion

I am attempting to emboss a body from a sketch. The dialogue the preview indicates it should work, but the results do not materialize as expected.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Something strange going on over here.

Yes, I noticed that as well, it happens in the embossing.

Thanks

Sketch8 is a bit of a disaster.

Simple slots are comprised of Splines and other oddities.

I would also fully define Sketch6 if it were my work.

Uhm, you didn't observe what Extrude2 did to your Emboss?

ok, sketch 8, was a quick export. I agree has some issues. I will address them. That I can do that and fix it. Thanks

Please elaborate on fully defining sketch 6?? I guess I don't understand what would need to be done, to fully define it.

Do you have access to Auto constrain?Screenshot 2025-11-22 062701.png

Yes, I have access to that.....I am not familiar with that feature. But I get the jest of what it does. It constrains everything. Constraints are definitly not something I really use/grasp. Why is fully constrained  important?

Fully constraining your Sketches may very well be the single most important "thing" to dedicate yourself to in learning and using Fusion... it is very hard to overstate the importance!

Why?...Well, I'm no expert, but I recall being taught that at its heart, Fusion is a sketch solver, and if it can't solve sketches or if there are multiple solutions, unexpected outcomes can be expected!

FYI your Sketch 8 was it couldn't be Auto-constrained. Did you try my workaround around moving the Emboss to the right in the Timeline?

Ok, I have cleaned that sketch up and moved the emboss in the timeline. It is orange and the only reason I think it works is because I moved it in the time line.

See new attached file.
