Education version on Chromebooks - templates, tools etc.

I am experimenting with using the education version of Fusion 360 on Chromebooks (our students all have Chromebooks).  How do I go about uploading templates and tool libraries to the cloud so that I can have students in my class use them.  The other item is the Post Process configuration file (this is not as important as I want to review their files before they move to the physical manufacturing).

Thanks!

Hi,

If you use Cloud libraries, these tools will be automatically shared with all students that you have added to your Team Hub. I'm assuming you are using Fusion Team for managing your students. If you are not, I'd recommend you do so.

Hi Ian,

The first thing you'll want to do is create a team hub. Think of it as a classroom with all your resources contained within it for the students. This link is the main help page for everything to do with team hubs, including how to add others. Once you have created a team, navigate to the assets folder and you can then upload, posts, templates and tool libraries into their respective asset folders. When new students are added to this team, they will have access to these same, shared, assets.

Here is the main help article regarding this.

This is a video I made showing how to upload a file into a team. You will have to make the team first using the above links. In the video I upload a tool library that I previously exported from my single user team. More details on tool libraries can be found here. Likewise, more information on templates can be found here.

@Anonymous Here are the steps to do this:

  1. Create a Fusion Team if you haven't already.
  2. Invite all your students to be Team Members in your Fusion Team. This is best done from the web interface of Fusion Team.
  3. Launch Fusion, go into preferences and check the "Enable Cloud Libraries" Box
  4.  Upload your templates/tool libraries/post processors into the appropriate Asset Library in Fusion Team. You can do this directly in Fusion or in the Fusion Team interface on the web.
  5. The assets will now be available to everyone who is a Team Member in your Fusion Team
