Edited a Sketch, now profile cannot be closed but a projection of it is closed?

I am designing a small RC airplane and wanted to edit the sketch I had lofted to the wing tip. For some reason the profile couldnt be closed no matter what, it was made with a spline running between 4 points that did return to the original point.

 

I decided to select all the lines and projections, delete everything, and begin the sketch again. And even that second time around the spline is not able to form a closed profile.

 

I decided to test Fusion 360 by creating a new sketch on the same plane, projected the spline onto the new sketch. And somehow that projection is seen as a closed profile but the orginial sketch is not. This seems like a bug in the program.

In the sketch "Wing Tip (error)" Profiles have been disabled:

Turning on Profiles does, in fact, recognize profiles in this sketch:

Thank you so much Jeff! That is a setting I didnt know existed. I have no idea how I turned that off.
