Edit rectangular pattern doesn't let me add new sketch elements to the array

I applied a rectangular pattern to a circle element in the sketch with success. Now I would like to use the same rectangular pattern on another element in the sketch but when I double click the pattern marker dokicky in the sketch window, the Edit Rectangular Pattern appears without the Objects and Direction/s selectors that normally appear when creating a pattern from scratch.

Is this a bug or a feature? I think it would come in handy not to be forced to create another entirely new array when the same pattern is already defined elsewhere.

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! I don't believe this is a bug - patterns within sketches do not work in the same parametric manner as feature/body/component patterns. Within a sketch, you'd need to either recreate the pattern with both entities or create a new pattern with the second entity.

The ability to add entities to an existing sketch pattern is a great suggestion for the Fusion 360 Ideastation - a similar request has been posted at this link. I hope this helps - please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you @paul.clauss, now I know that there's nothing wrong with the way I was using Fusion360 🙂

I hope that idea is implemented soon. Cheers!
