dxf export for laser/plasma creates duplicate layers

I've been searching the forums but haven't seen much of an answer to this issue.
I use F360 for milling, 3d printing, plasma, and laser. The laser doesn't use gcode so have to export dxf file. F360 plasma CAM isn't that great compared to Sheetcam for doing things like turning THC on/off, rules for slowing down on sharp corners, etc. So prefer to design in Fusion then export to DXF and generate gcode from Sheetcam.
The first problem is when exporting a sketch it includes all the extra construction lines and stuff I don't need. It would be great if I could export DXF without construction lines (feature request). So the easiest solution has been to do a small extrusion of the sketch, then create new sketch on top surface, project object, then export the dxf from that sketch. As some have noted, this creates duplicate lines on top of each other that sheetcam and laser machines will try to cut twice. Is there any fix for this? My current solution was from another plasma user who suggested opening in inkscape, ungrouping the lines, then moving some of the line segments off to reveal the single bottom layer. After doing all that, resave to dxf or svg and it will cut fine in plasma or laser. But this is a lot of extra work that we should have to do. Are there any plans to fix this so the single sketch from the extruded surface only includes 1 layer of lines?
